Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was one of the biggest and most competitive games at the Northeast Championships for several years, with the game having a healthy community of competitive players for nearly ten years. It remains to be see if the sequel will have that kind of staying power, but right from its release Marvel vs Capcom 3 has been one of the biggest tournament draws. However, for a number of reasons — from the earthquake that devastated Japan in the spring of 2011 messing with their DLC schedule, to certain characters having an overbearing presence at tournaments, and scheduling concerns with Marvel, Capcom decided to release a new version of MvC3 in the same calendar year. While that time frame is unprecedented in the console era for a major release, players are welcoming a vast majority of the changes and new characters and as such, we welcome the new version of the game to the event.

The previous game has some of the most exciting games for any fighting game ever played, and between the larger player base and new mechanics every game could be one for the ages.
